laughing squid

For those of you who have been in the wilds of Whistler, nose-deep in bear poop and boulders (meaning my husband, who will probably be stuck tomorrow in an airport for several hours poring over his iPhone, looking for good feeds) I thought you’d be amused with this post that Scott Beale forwarded me from the SquidList. He caught the tweet I posted about Ford’s obsession yesterday with the Laughing Squid logo. Indeed, Ford duplicated this logo about six or seven times before moving onto his latest thing: Having mom carve a Bionicle out of a Nerf ball with an Exacto knife (because Lego no longer makes this particular, spherical mecha-raptor anymore so, instead of waiting two weeks for an obscure order to process through some nebulous Taiwanese-American FedEx corridor, we could anyways just make our own out of what materials and scant patience we have on hand).

Putting the Hi back in Hiatus

Sometimes I forget that I’m not the only one who reads this blog. I don’t scrapbook, but I try to log it all down here. Randomly I might go on hiatus, that’s just my way. It takes one month of non-documenting and three very important people to remind me, on the very same day (otherwise it might not have the same impact) that it means something to them to see this space update. So update I will. I love you.

ladybugzes

The other night, on our way down the bike trail, a ladybug landed on my arm and it hitched the whole 9 miles to the brewery. I made sure it stayed safe because there’s no insect cuter and I’m all for public transit.

With it in mind, I got to work last night at my desk. It’s a great group; I love this nature journal exchange we’ve got going on at Moly_x_9.

I’m mailing Scoach’s Moleskine journal tomorrow an it’s headed for Hawaii.
