Yes Ma’am, I believe the plowman dropped the ball on that one. You don’t plow the wildflowers until AFTER they’ve gone to seed. Luckily TXDOT is savvy on this and our state highways display a beautiful variety of wildflowers this time of year. Unfortunately, we don’t have those beautiful California Poppies.
well, if you ask me, we shouldn’t plow at all. But you know, someone has to feel good about preventing forest fires. You know, the natural rhythm of nature here in the chaparral. Nobody wants his five million dollar double-wide trailer to burn down.
Oh! But I found 2 more plants that survived the plow! That made me happy.
