Goats are always eating, night and day.
I painted this about sixteen years ago. Back then, I had dreamed about having a small dairy goat operation in the hill country (the rolling chaparral in central Texas). But I think I may have outgrown it for the want to live aboard a roaming sailboat someday, when the kids are in college. Talk about opposites.
More Illustration Friday.
We’ve got our exit plans for life after our daughter goes to college – it’s nice to read/hear that others do as well. I have a friend that moved to VA to raise goats and make goat cheese…..not a bad life me thinks.
I love this illustration because the sectional quality of the goats themselves reminds me of their triangular pupils and it all seems to fit.
Yes, think of all the places you could go on a sailboat.
Have you seen there’s a wine called “Goats do roam” ? (It’s not that great but I love the pun on Cotes de Rhone).
Anyway I am fast running out of ways to tell you “god, woman–you are so talented!!”
So, I’ll just say– nice goats.
oh, oh, oh, I LOVE the style of this… and i’ve always dreamed of doing the sail boat thing for a year sometime when my kids are like 10 and 14 or something…
